Select the basic waveform to output with the mouse.
The icon color of the selected basic waveform is green.
Unselected basic waveform icon color is gray.
Below is the state with the sine wave selected.
List of waveform types
Waveform type | Content | Related items on the operation panel |
Sinewave |
Outputs a sine wave. It is mainly used to check waveform distortion and frequency characteristics. |
You can adjust the waveform with "Amplitude", "Offset" and "Frequency". |
Constant |
Outputs a constant voltage value (or current value).
|
You can adjust the constant value in "Amplitude". |
Triagular |
Outputs a triangular wave. It is mainly used to check linearity. |
You can adjust the waveform with "Amplitude", "Offset" and "Frequency". |
Ramp |
Outputs a sawtooth wave. It is mainly used to check linearity. |
You can adjust the waveform with "Amplitude", "Offset" and "Frequency". |
Scquare |
Outputs a square wave). It is mainly used to check transient response characteristics. |
You can adjust the waveform with "Amplitude", "Offset" and "Frequency". |
Noise |
Output noise. Gaussian (normally distributed) noise. |
You can adjust the waveform with "Amplitude" and "Offset". |
Arbitrary |
Outputs an arbitrary waveform. |
Arbitrary waveforms are specified in a csv format text file. You can adjust the waveform with "Frequency". Since the CSV file has priority, "Amplitude" and "Offset" cannot be set. For the CSV file, refer to [How to set arbitrary waveform], [Format of saved data]. |
