When you start Visual Studio 2017 or Visual Studio 2015, the Visual
Studio menu bar is displayed.
COM-DRV(WDM) Help tutorial introduces
operations using the Visual Studio menus without using the wizard.
However, from Visual Studio 2019 onwards, the specifications have been
changed so that the wizard process starts at run time.
Because of this, when you start Visual Studio 2019 or later, the Visual
Studio menu bar will not be displayed.
If you want to follow the steps in the COM-DRV(WDM) Help tutorial, stop the wizard process and make sure the Visual Studio menu bar is visible.
There are various ways to stop the wizard process and display the Visual
Studio menu bar.
Below is an example of how to do this.
When you select [Continue without code] on
the screen, the wizard will stop and the Visual Studio menu bar will be
displayed.
Alternatively, when you press the (ESC) key on your keyboard, the wizard
will stop and the Visual Studio menu bar will be displayed.
