Device Name

Select the device you want to use.

Selecting the combo box will pull down the available devices.

When using a USB device, restart C-WaveformGenerator after connecting the device.

USB devices connected while C-WaveformGenerator is running are not displayed in the pull-down list.

Number of channel

Specify the number of channels for waveform output.

Selecting the combo box will pull down the number of available channels.

The input range is 1ch to the maximum channel number of the device.
There is the limitation 1ch to 16ch when you select the virtual device "AIO Demo Device".

Frequency / Period

The frequency of the output waveform can be specified.

"Frequency" or "Period" can be selected.

The input range is 0.1Hz to 10000Hz in "Frequency".
The input range is 0.0001sec to 10sec in "Period".

When specifying the frequency, the unit can be specified in Hz or kHz.
1kHz = 1,000Hz

When specifying the period, the unit can be specified in Sec or msec.
1sec = 1,000msec

Oscillation

Specifies oscillation.

When you select the combo box, three types of options will be displayed as a pull-down.
None, Auto burst, Trigger burst

None:
Output is one basic waveform. Number of oscillation waveforms and stop settings are invalid.

Auto burst:
Outputs waveforms repeatedly according to the specified the number of stop waveforms and the number of oscillation waveforms.

Trigger burst (rising edge):
When the external trigger signal on the device rises, one waveform is output according to the specified stop time and the number of oscillation waveforms.
Some USB devices do not support Trigger burst. For details, please refer to the "Supported Devices" item.

Trigger burst (falling edge):
When the external trigger signal on the device falls, one waveform is output according to the specified stop time and the number of oscillation waveforms.
Some USB devices do not support Trigger burst. For details, please refer to the "Supported Devices" item.

Number of oscillation waveform

Specifies the number of oscillation waveforms for burst oscillation.
The total number of oscillation waveforms and stop waveforms of all channels must be 16 or less.

The number of waveforms is 1 or more.

If the basic waveform is Sinewave and the number of oscillations is 10, 10 cycles of sine wave will be treated as one output waveform.

Stop

Specify the number of stop waveforms (or stop time) for burst oscillation.
The total number of oscillation waveforms and stop waveforms of all channels must be 16 or less.

If Auto burst is selected in the oscillation setting, specify the number of waves to stop.
The number of waveforms is 1 or more.

If Trigger burst is selected in oscillation settings, specify the stop time in seconds (sec).
The stop time setting range is 0 to 10 seconds.

Auto burst:
When the number of channels is 1 and the number of oscillation waveforms is 1 waveform, the setting range of the number of stop waveforms is 1 to 15 waveforms.
When the number of channels is 4 and the number of oscillation waveforms is 2 waveforms, the setting range of the number of stop waveforms is 1 to 2 waveforms.

Trigger burst: Frequency 10Hz
When the number of channels is 1 and the number of oscillation waveforms is 1 waveform, the setting range of the stop time is 0 to 1.5 seconds. (15 waveforms at 10Hz)
When the number of channels is 4 and the number of oscillation waveforms is 2 waveforms, the setting range of the stop time is 0 to 0.2 seconds. (15 waveforms at 10Hz)

Number of Data

Specify the number of data for waveform.

In checked, Number of Data is adjusted by C-WaveformGenerator.
And the item "Number of Data" is grayed out.
Please refer "Number of basic waveform data points" to know more details.

In Unchecked, You can specify the number of data for waveform.
The unit is "points per channel".
The input range is from 10 to 100000 points.

If the number of data points is greater than the settable value, the number of data points will be adjusted to the maximum value that can be set with the current setting.

To increase the number of data points, try the following:

- Slow down the frequency.
- Reduce the number of channels.
- When selecting oscillation, reduce the oscillation wave number, stop wave number, and stop time.
