Installation

This driver is provided in a compressed file.
You can use the following command in shell to copy/extract it.

When the module is compiled, Linux kernel header is necessary.
Please install the kernel header in advance.

It is required to startup with root authority for install.

Download the driver file

Please download the latest driver file from our website.

Download site for driver software
https://www.contec.com/download/list/driver-software/comdvr/

Extract the driver file

The following XXX is the driver version.
Please refer "File Structure" topic if you need to know more details.

# tar xvfz COMDRVLNX4CXUSB_XXX.tgz
...............

Execute make, install the driver

# cd contec/comdrv_4cxusb/driver

# make clean

................

# make

................

# make install

................

Load the driver

# cd contec/comdrv_4cxusb

# ./addmod.sh

................

The driver source files are located in
kernel 2.6.18 ～ 3.4  ~/contec/comdrv_4cxusb/driver/2.6.18_3.4
kernel 3.5                ~/contec/comdrv_4cxusb/driver/3.5
kernel 3.6 ～            ~/contec/comdrv_4cxusb/driver/3.6_or_newer
