To communicate, both the sender and the receiver must terminate communication (completion of sending and completion of receiving) simultaneously.
When communicating binary data, the EOI signal is used to indicate the
end of the data.
While a delimiter code can be used for text data, it is necessary to control
the end of the data via the EOI line for binary data communication.
It is used as termination indicator in data transfers or used in performing parallel poll with ATN.
