Property Setting

In order to use the API-GPIB (WDM) function, it is necessary to set the properties from  Device Manager in advance.

  1. Perform detail settings by opening the [Detail Settings] tab.
    Settings in the [Detail Settings] tab require administrator (Administrator) authority.


    Below are the settings for each item.

    Use API-GPLV(W32)

    Make sure the [Use API-GPLV(W32)] check box is not being checked.

    C/D Time

    Specify the wait time set between sending and receiving GPIB commands and data.

    Normally there is no need to change it from 0. (non wait)
    The specified range is 0 to 65535. Unit is µsec.

    Driver No.

    It doesn't matter to keep initial setting(1).

    Using more than one device at the same time, Please register the different device name from Device Manager.

    Mode

    Please select FIFO.

    My Address

    Specify the primary address for GPIB communication.

    Please set it according to your usage plan.
    The specified range is 0 to 30.

    Master/Slave

    Please set it according to your usage plan.

    "Master": It operates as the System Controller.
    "Slave": It operates as the Non Controller.

    Bus Timing

    Specify the setting time of multi-line message.

    Please set it according to your usage plan.
    You can select from 350nsec, 500nsec or 2000nsec.

  2. After completing the settings, click [OK] to close the properties screen.
    The initial software settings are now complete.
