Device display area [*2]

You can see the device tree on the left hand side of CONTEC Device Utility.
You can see the device information [*3] and the device settings [*4] on the right hand side when you select each device in the device display area.

There are the following types in the tree.

[Setting mode]
On the setting mode, device settings and connections are displayed here.

[NET]
Devices connected via the network are displayed here.

[USB]
USB connected devices are displayed here.

[PCI/PCI Express]
The PCI and PCI Express boards installed in the PC are displayed here.

[Others]
Other devices are displayed here.

The icons displayed for each device are as follows.

Icon	Explanation
	Indicates a newly detected devices. For [Setting mode] devices, you can make various settings and update firmware. For [NET] devices, you can use it by setting the device name.
	Indicates devices registered on the PC. It can be used in the API function of the device driver.
	Indicates devices that are registered on the PC but are not connected. For [NET] devices, you can delete the registration with the utility.
