You can see the device settings on the right-upper area [*4] of CONTEC
Device Utility.
Please refer "Operation
Procedure by Device" for each device to know more details.
Depending on the selected device, tabs for
switching the settings appear.
The following tabs are available, depending on the target product, the
presence or absence of the tab page and setting items are different.
[Setting]
Select this to set basic settings for the device.
[FailSafe]
Select this when setting fail-safe function.
[FailSafe(MultiData)]
Select this when setting multiple data with fail-safe function.
[Firmware]
Select when updating the firmware used in the product.
Depending on the setting, buttons are displayed.
There are the following buttons.
[Save]
button
It is a button to save setting contents.
[Advanced]
button
This is a button that displays a dialog for advanced settings.
[Diagnosis]
button
It is a button to start the diagnostic program which checks
the operation of the device.
It is disabled if the device name setting is not saved.
[Status]
button
It is a button that simply displays the operating status of
the device.
It is disabled if the device name setting is not saved.
[Write
new firmware] button
It is a button to update the firmware.
When clicking, the file selection screen will be displayed, so
please specify the file of firmware to be written.
[Delete
this register] button
It is a button to unregister the device.
For some devices, you can perform unregistering when these
registered devices are not detected.
