Depending on the equipped function, counter mode can be divided into the following types.
Usual Counter
Perform the usual counter operations such as reading the count value and status of the input signal and outputting pulse to outside when the count matches.
High-performance Counter
In addition to the counter function of reading the count value and status, the following hardware event function can be used.
- When count matches or counter error occurs, output pulse to outside by control output signal.
- When count matches, preset or zero clear the count value.
- Preset or zero clear the count value by control input signal.
- Start or stop the counter by control input signal.
- Equipped with Sampling function (Limited to some devices).
