There are totalizing counter mode and line receiver counter for counter mode only valid in sampling mode.
Totalizing counter is by default that performs sampling at fixed interval in the same way same as usual up/down counter.
When line receiver counter is selected, the difference with the count value sampled last time is sampled.
Therefore, it is possible to measure the frequency when line receiver counter is selected.
