Bus timing

GPIB  controls the transfer of message bytes between devices depending upon the state transition (transfer from one state to the next state).

The Bus timing is equivalent to the wait time for the state transition.

If this time is set to less than 500nSec time, it is defined by the GPIB standard as follows.

1. Turn on power to all devices.

2. Shorten the length of one cable as much as possible (preferably 1 m or less).

3. Reduce the total cable length to 15 m or less.

*If the wait time is short, some devices may not operate, or GPIB errors or timeouts may occur.
